The Whackems is an American animated television series created by Lilli Schreiber and produced by Bear Bones Productions, with animation done by Saerom Animation. Taking place in the suburbs of the fictional Kerbucket City, the series focuses on a trio of "toon/human" hybrid sisters who try to live with normal people in a normal neighborhood knowing that they are not normal themselves.
The Whackems premiered on September 23, 1995 as part of the Bear Bones Lineup, as the tenth of the programming block's original animated series. During the show's run, several specials and shorts were produced in addition to the regular television series. The series ended on December 6, 2008, with 200 episodes and 10 seasons in total. All 10 seasons have been released on DVD.
In 2003, Paramount Pictures released a theatrical film based on the series, The Whackems: One Big Movie.

Cast and characters[]
- Spinach Whackem (voiced by Carolyn Lawrence): Spinach is the main protagonist of the series. The oldest and motherly 14-year-old sister of the Whackems, she is fairly optimistic and is the least likely to start a fight. She is also really studious.
- Magilli Whackem (voiced by Candi Milo): Magilli is the oddball middle child who does not know the meaning of manners. She is also pretty troublesome, and dense, and for some reason has a New Yorker accent, as well as cat features.
- Koyponde Whackem (voiced by Lacey Chabert): Koyponde is the youngest of the sisters, and can be quite the know-it-all. She tends to bicker the most and can be pretty vain, but has a wicked knowledge of music.
- Rob Montague (voiced by Jason Marsden): Rob is a 13-year-old boy who is the "brother" of Magilli. He is the brother the Whackem sisters never had, and is always seen with them, at their house, trips, etc. all three girls see him as a sibling (his feelings are mutual as well), but Magilli and Rob are absolutely inseparable. Like Magilli, he enjoys listening to music, dancing, and playing sports, but also really loves theater, writing, and girls. He is pretty sarcastic, and rather reckless compared to Magilli, but he iis also good at smoothing out a sticky situation.
